hottoddy7
In the paper here today they are reporting that the renovations to King George (in St.John's) may include field turf. Apparently the csa has guranteed 2 international matches per year if field turf is installed.

hottoddy7
well yeah I don't think they meant senior team matches per year. but jeez under 20's anything here would be great. all we have is challenge cup and aus soccer. but hopefully we will get some senior team matches it is a shorter flight and guranteed home side support. Vancouver Fan
I also have fond memories of King George V having won a Canadian U16 champioship on that field. We played Paul Peschisolido and Carl Fletchers team in the final and won in overtime. The locals were very supportive of our team since we were heavy underdogs. I hope to return there one day for a WCQ perhaps.
