Michael Crampton
Weren't Plymouth way lower only a few years ago? I know there from an area with almost no league clubs and are considered a potential sleeping giant. Mike.

But they've spent most of their existence in either the first or second divsion (ie. 2nd or 3rd-levels). Speaking of close races, in the Spanish first-division there are now 8 teams within four points near the bottom. Two of them will get relegated! Only 2 teams out of 20 have nothing left to play for (Depor and Murcia)!

Devonshire had three clubs in Division Three just a few seasons ago: Plymouth, Torquay and Exeter. Plymouth will be in Div1 next season, Torquay look set to enter the Division Three play-offs next month, while Exeter are now down in the Conference. But we all know the mighty Tiverton Town is the only Devon side that matters.
