Guest Ed
Looks like a done deal boys. From the Mercury News in San Jose. Not my first choice, but I guess the first choice out of the pitiful selection of candidates offered to this point (Pellerud, James --- give me a pistol). Frank better distance himself from the old boys club plenty quick, or I am going to be all over that. http://www.bayarea.com/mld/mercurynews/sports/7196310.htm

jonovision
I find it hard to believe that Yallop has not "been in contact" with anyone from the CSA.

This is why professional people have agents or agencies. So they can say they have not talked to the people they are in fact negotiating with through representation. In any case, I imagine that however much a candidate might want discretion, the normal thing when you apply for a job is at least talk to someone handling human resources. What is the CSA going to do, interviews? I mean you have to negotiate a contract before hiring, and if one or the other is not happy with the deal or demands you go to the next guy. You have to talk to a short list at least.
