Paul Peschisolido came on m. 68 but could do little to alter the course of a 1-2 loss for Sheffield Utd as they fell to Reading.

Richard Hastings played 90 as MVV Maastricht got their first win of the season after some 12 games with a 3-1 result over Go Ahead Eagles. The team is still bottom on Dutch 2nd division but it could be the turning point they need.

Nsaliwa played 90 yesterday as Regensburg lost to FC Nurnberg 3-2, leaving Tam's team still in the relegation zone (though only 1 point out).

Bircham & Hume tied each other 1-1 & each went 90 minutes. No word on the quality of Bircham's hair, or whether Hume has gone back to the Mohawk look he sported a year ago at this time.

Still no sign of Brennan at Norwich, who won. Wigan lost without De Vos & Watford still has Godfrey in the reserves.

Kevin McKenna enjoyed his return to the Hearts starting line-up (and in the back four) with an assist on one of their 4 goals against Partick Thistle, a 4-1 victory. With no sign of Fenwick at Hibs I think McKenna starting at the back for Hearts is a good sign, and he will likely also be back there more often for Canada. Oh, and while I'm here, with De Vos not fit, Fenwick not playing, can we bloody well call Marco Reda for the Czech friendly already?

Radzinski must still be out with that slight injury as he didn't dress today for Everton.

Dunfield was an un-used sub for Bury today in their victory, no sign of Rogers being dressed for Wycombe while Bent came on in the 70th minute for Plymouth - who are now top of the English 2nd division, after their 1-0 win over Blackpool.

Michael Klukowski and La Louvière had a big game beating 2nd place Racing Genk 5-2 at home, with Kluka playing 90 and taking a yellow card in m. 62. The win leap frogs them into the top half of the table, only 5 points off the 2nd team which remains their rival from today. Les Loups have only lost a game of ten this year.

As the team had a few players sitting out for cards it is not clear if Mike has regained his starting spot, but it is looking good for him. With Belgium as a strong feeder league for the better leagues he seems to be in the right place with this club.

In Sweden Sunday, both Kenny and Atiba were in action for their clubs. Hutchison played 90 and scored in the 90th minute, but it was too little, too late for Osters who fell to Djurgardens 5-2 and will be relegated. Stamatopolous' Enkopings' squad, already relegated after Wednesday's result, fell 2-0 at home to AIK. Pozniak didn't see the field for Orebro, who will stay in the Allsvenskan.
