BOSNIA OWNS THIS GROUP!

>> This team has probably been one of Europe's biggest underachievers but it looks like the tide is turning now. 3 points against Danmark on the home ground propels us to Portugal

The last time the Danes played in Sarajevo they were dismantled 3-0. You can expect an insanely electric atmoshpere as this is the game of the decade for Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Based on the fact that they should win the toughest group of all, I'd have to agree. I mean, Romania will probably finish 4th! They would win England's group!

Cheers Jarrek

Yea this was a killer group, I would've picked Romania to come out for sure, they still could possible make it but their faith depends on the outcome of other games... highly unlikely though...

The last game of the round won't be played in Sarajevo but in Zenica, where Bosnia has never lost a single point... One month to go

Does anyone know the tie-breaker rule if 3 teams finished tied in points? Looks like group 2 could end like this. But if my thinking is correct, then Romania is eliminated already, right? That sucks!

...Equality of points

6.06 If, on completion of the group matches, two or more teams are equal on

points, their position within the group will be established according to the

following criteria:

a) Number of points obtained in the matches among the teams in question

B) Goal difference resulting from the matches among the teams in question

c) Number of away goals in the matches among the teams in question

d) Results of all qualifying-competition matches:

#8722; Goal difference

#8722; Number of goals

#8722; Number of away goals

e) Fair play conduct of the teams in question

f) Drawing of lots

Here's a summary of all the groups. I think the tables are self-explanatory, except I should note that, where there are two teams listed (separated by a slash) in a table entry, the team on the left qualifies directly for Euro 2004 and the team on the right qualifies for the playoffs. (I figured this stuff out myself so let me know if you find any errors.)

So, soorow in the Carpatians unless Luxembourg wins or draws against the Norgies. Ain't gonna happen.

Yeah, thanx DJT.

What also is disappointing is UEFA has a seeding-formula in place for the playoffs! In other words, finishing in second for teams like Wales and Iceland means virtually nothing when you have seeded teams like the Netherlands and Spain.

Turns out UEFA is going with no seeding for the playoffs. All teams will be drawn from the same pot, so we could theoretically end up with something like Spain vs. Netherlands and Wales vs. Iceland.

They have also announced that there will be four seeded teams to head the four groups at the final tournament. Hosts Portugal and defending-champions France are the two seeded teams so far.
