Season Too Short, Off Season Too Long - Idea

Take a page from Brazil's preseason state leagues.

BC Cup with the 2 teams + an L1BC or VMSL team (whoever has a roster together at that time of year). Everyone gets one home game, build the local rivalries and break in youngsters/new signings against the lower-league team.

Ontario Cup with the 3 teams played in an indoor facility or down in DR, Cuba or Mexico with travel packages. Could include the top L1O team who has an active roster in March/April.

Best-of-the-rest out east in Halifax (or if one of the Prairie teams can host at an indoor facility). L1Q and L1A could get an invite there too.
