Canada will play Serbia on March 23, Brazil on March 24 and Russia on March 25. Other teams are Germany, India, Mexico, Romania, El Salvador, Czech Republic, USA, Kazakhstan. They have arenas in Brazil? India? El Salvador? Mexico? The rest of the countries have hockey teams so I can see it but El Salvador? Really? Not putting it down just wondering. Toje Posted March 23, 2015 Author Share Posted March 23, 2015 Well, the Czech Republic team (for example) had never played this style of 'soccer' until a week before leaving for the USA. They had a special pitch built with 'American' style boards. They usually played futsal or mini-football which is like futsal but with a larger playing area. I assume the same can be said with teams from Brazil, India etc... Mexico actually has a long tradition of playing 'American' style indoor soccer, but mostly in the border cities close to the USA. Canada plays again tonight at 6:00pm against Russia. A person claiming to be from the Russian team made a long post about why Russia should be playing Romania in the Quarters instead of the Romania bye to the Semis. But in passing he mentioned that the Tournament organizers decided that after promising that travel would be covered, Canada would have to provide their own travel to Chicago.
