Trillium

Saturday, August 2, 2014 Montreal Toronto FC

Saturday, October 18, 2014 Toronto FC Montreal

You would have thought the MLSE brain trust would have reversed these games and scheduled the August long weekend match to Monday August 4, TFC is scheduled to play Wednesday night July 30, 2014 so a two day break to meet Montreal in Montreal not a good prospect for TFC based on league form in 2013. Me thinks Mr Liewicke may be on the phone to Joey S asking for a switch which would make economic sense for TFC pick up a huge long weekend crowd in August versus a October empty stadia, and if Montreal is in hunt for playoffs a win late season against TFC would be better sell for the Montreal fans in October. Meanwhile Montreal gets an away game midweek of St. Jean Baptiste avoiding the conflict of a home game when free fireworks and rock shows hurts attendance in Montreal. Califax
Couldn't be happier as a Toronto supporter. We play the majority of our games in the back half of the season, after Samuel Eto'o gets here.
