BringBackTheBlizzard
One legitimate area of concern, in my opinion, with TFC's use of BMO Field is having games in the middle of the afternoon in midsummer for TV contract reasons with CBC. The black rubber pellets trap heat in direct sunlight in a big way.
Guest speedmonk42
I think the city will need more than an equivalent field. Double the capacity at least, then you can get the clubs and leagues behind you on it. Lamport is not an option cause we lose capacity. Already have one bubble, so a new facility should be two fields at least.

The heat island effect is very real which is why the manufacturer of the turf recommends watering it on hot days 1 hour before a game. Cool it down and still have time to evaporate and drain off. I kid you not! Watering artificial turf! [xx(]
amacpher
Get rid of that fake turf! It's makes games unwatchable!

[xx(] on a hot day, watering the turf is critical. the roll of the ball slows noticeably on a very hot day if the turf hasn't been soaked beforehand
Guest speedmonk42
I prefer field turf when it is wet. It seems a little less grabby.
