VPjr
2 weeks ago, various news agencies made it seem like Davids was going to sign with FC Dallas as a big name DP but a report on ESPN Soccernet indicates Mr. Goggles is going back to Holland to play for Ajax. Interesting. In the Beckham aftermath, the only other DP player signed has been Reyna by RED BULLS. I don't really think Davids was the right choice for a DP spot (US/Canada produce enough good, young defensive midfielders) but it's still an interesting turn of events. JamesW
It seemed "pretty certain" that he was going to FC Dallas. But most likely you are correct.
hottoddy7
If indeed he is not I would say it is a good thing for MLS. He is on a definate decline, is not the big name player who would bring people out of their seats or more importantly into them and it would be very possible to get a Canadian or American player to that job in MLS. To pay that kind of big money for a player like Davids would have been a huge mistake.
