DJT
Canadians abroad on TV this week Notes: This list may be incomplete or inaccurate. Generally only premiere broadcasts are listed (in particular, FSWC repeats are not listed). All broadcasts are live unless otherwise noted. All times are EDT. None. Guidelines for this thread [*]In this thread post match updates on all Canadians abroad for July 14-20, 2006. [*]If you find updates posted in some other thread or on the other Voyageurs forum then post them here as well, but be sure to credit the original poster. [*]If there is news that is particularly significant (eg. someone scores a big goal, someone gets injured, etc.) then feel free to begin a new thread on that topic in order to draw greater attention or start a discussion, but also post that news here. [*]Some comments on news posted in this thread are okay, but let's not let this thread go off into a long discussion. If the news already appears in another thread (as per the previous bullet) then post your comments in that other thread, otherwise if you want to say something significant or if it is likely to generate replies then begin a new thread. Loud Mouth Soup
Olivier Occean played 90 and, in Soccernet's opinion, seemed to play well as Lillestrom drew 1-1 with Newcastle in the InterToto Cup match at St. James Park. Report says he was also quite rough in the challenge, picking out Emre and Parker being taken on quite roughly by OO. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report?id=203673&cc=5901 ...With the Magpies unable to make the ball stick in attack, where Luque was ineffectual before the break and Milner isolated, they were overrun at times as front two Mifsud and Olivier Occean profited from the probing of left midfielder Koren. It was Koren's deflected shot which gave his side a deserved half-time lead after Mifsud had combined with Occean to set him up...

CDN4EVR
Hainault has played 3-4 pre season games over the last week or two. He managed to score yet another goal in a 2-0 win over Varnsdorf http://www.fksiadmost.cz/newphprs/view.php?cisloclanku=2006071103 and beat Blsany yesterday 3-0 but was subbed out early in the 2nd half. Also lost 1-0 earlier this week to Slavia Praha which is not bad considering they lost 3-0 in their last regular season game against them. http://www.fksiadmost.cz/newphprs/view.php?cisloclanku=2006071301 Hainault played 90. Loud Mouth Soup
Ipswich's official site named de Vos MoM in Ipswich's 1-1 friendly draw with Willem II. He appears to have played all 90, as did Jaime Peters. http://tinyurl.com/gf3pa
marktci
Paul Stalteri has picked up an ankle injury (guessing it's not serious) and won't be playing when Spurs take on Celta Vigo in preseason action. He did play 90 earlier in the week against Nice. Also, Dwayne De Rosario will be part of the MLS All Star squad taking on Chelsea on August 5.
