PSG
I just got hold of a copy of the 3-0 defeat against the USA in Vancouver. The commentators made reference to the fact that Forrest, Peschisolido and Radzinski didn't want to return to play for Canada. What with that and Mobilio's bust up with Lenarduzzi, was there a lot of disharmony in the camp before Bobby's departure? I only ask because I don't recall much about that period. PSG
I don't think there could've been a bigger slap in the face for Canada than having the US celebrate afterwards. I don't think the 3-0 drubbing was warranted though. Canada played some good football at times and should've been on the scoresheet at least once. I think Claudio Reyna was the difference that day - superb. Still can't understand why Jason Bent was taken off at half-time though. Also, great strip that Canada wore! redhat
All I remember was that there were quite a few controversial calls against us, and once the USA scored against the run of play, it just deflated us. It was one of the most frustrating games to watch, other than the last WCQ against Honduras.
Vancouver Fan
That game was pretty meaningless for us as I believe we had already been eleiminated by that point. Still,I remember looking so forward to that game and just being deflated in the end.
