In the Bundesliga today, Hannover 96 win 1-0 against 1.FC Nurnberg with a late goal. Julian de Guzman goes 90 minutes. The Hannover club is still in the hunt for a UI berth.

Yesterday, Paul Stalteri and Werder Bremen got back on track with a 3-0 win over Arminia Bielefeld, with Paul playing 90 minutes as right back.Three games to go and they could still catch VfB Stuttgart for a Champions League spot.

Another big win for Tam Nsaliwa and 1.FC Saarbrucken as they come back to beat LR Ahlen 3-2 at home and now should be OK to stay up in the Bundesliga 2 for next season. Tam once again goes 90 minutes as a central defender.

Congrat to Nik Ledgerwood as he gets his first Regional League goal but his 1860 Muenchen reserves side go down 2-1 to Bavarian rivals FC Augsburg. Still touch and go for 1860 to stay in the 3rd tier. Good season for Nik though.

By "UI", do you mean UEFA, or am I missing something here?

Also, Julian's 2005-06 club, Deportivo, are currently in 11th in the Primera Liga, so European play for him next season is unlikely.

Nonetheless, I think his ambitions of playing in Europe will be better served by playing with Deportivo la Coruna. Hannover 96 are by no means a big German club (at this point) and a midtable finish is a decent goal for each season.
