DJT
According to the CSA and the Canadian Encyclopedia of Soccer by Colin Jose, no 1986 WCQ matches were played in Vancouver. The two listed by RSSSF as having been played in Vancouver were actually played in Victoria according to those other sources. According to the CSA, the attendance was 5,000 for each match. Paddy
I was at the Haiti and Guatemala games in Victoria, so I can attest to the fact that they were not played in Vancouver. 5000 sounds about right to my memory as the field was lined with portable bleachers. It was a great time.

Is there a CSA data base online that has this, or is it from the Jose book or other publication?

DJT
quote:Originally posted by beachesl Is there a CSA data base online that has this, or is it from the Jose book or other publication? Go here. Under the heading "Record Book ( pdf )" on the right-hand side, the "Game Capsules" link points to a PDF file that lists as many details as possible for every match Canada has ever played (supposedly, but we've found some to be missing, like those matches against Belize 25 years ago or whenever it was), including lineups and attendances where available. A note to all: the PDF files posted there answer a lot of questions that are often posed to the forum; it's probably faster to look them up yourself. This PDF file appears on that page as well (follow the "International Results" link), but it doesn't include details like lineups and attendances that people are often looking for. Former Champ
That is a good link! I'm glad you pointed it out to me. The other is a bit more compact and easier for browsing.
