I don’t think the game loses out at all. People in Singapore win because they could actually watch some quality football (I can’t believe someone in Canada couldn’t relate to this). People in Manchester win because they have a team to hate (United) and that probably makes them more passionate about the team they do support (whether its City, Stockport or whoever). So if the fans win, the game wins! I also don’t see anything wrong with supporting a team 3000 miles away from where one lives or supporting a team based in a city that one never even set foot in.
