Gian-Luca Posted December 9, 2003 Share Posted December 9, 2003 I see that the Toronto Star (at waymoresports.com) has a vote for who should be considered Canada's athlete of the year, with four male choices & 4 female choices. Charmaine Hooper is one of the choices, and as of now she is at least ahead of the 65 year old female golfer who won some senior LPGA tour this year (no offense to Golf Fans, but its reasons like this why I cringe whenever I hear of golfers being considered for "athlete" of the year, right next to curlers, bowlers and darts players). Also of note for female soccer players, bigsoccer.com is running a "Who is the hottest female soccer player?" thread in their "Beautiful Game" section, and while no Canadians have voted (as far as I can tell) Kara Lang has nevertheless has garnered a couple of votes from posters.
