Keegan
Ridiculous unless Concacaf creates their own u21 competition otherwise this is just a move that appeases European teams. So European teams will have their u19s play in world cups and won’t have to worry about those pesky u17 and u20 levels they avoid while maintaining emphasis on their u21 tournament. I’d welcome it if concacaf came up with a u22 sort of circuit.. we really need that level represented. By u20 most of our players aren’t playing pro and then they sort of get lost and waste on the fringes of club teams until they get a shot and jump to our senior squad.. there needs to be a buffer in there and players shouldn’t have their last action at 19/20 years old for a national team especially in concacaf where we have tons of late bloomers.
