African Cup of Nations Violence

Des1979

Recommended Posts

No doubt the Soccer-Bashers will have a Field Day on this. (violence in Equatorial Guinea after they lost 3-0 to Ghana)

At least they got on with the game, unlike what happened when the English Rioters wrecked Lansdowne Road in 1995.

Puts our problems into perspective.

Heavy-handed CAF with a 2 tournament ban for Morocco plus 1 million dollars (Eq Gun fined only 65 thou for the riot!). http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/31172102 Tunisa also being punished for criticising poor referreeing.  DR Congo threatening to pull out of 3rd place match tomorrow due to security fears. I do not understand why tCAF could not follow Morocco's sensible suggestion of postponing tournament due to ebola fears.

Maybe the North African associations will get pissed off enuff with the CAFcrap ) try to form their own Confederation. Maybe we could join to escape the CONCACAF crap.
