tmcmurph Posted February 14, 2011 Share Posted February 14, 2011 Good to see Calgary come back in the second game. I was there for the first part of the double header but couldn't stay for both. Just my luck. In the first Calgary looked out of sync. Even the sure footed passers were making bad passes and making mistakes. They were giving 100% but just were not themselves. Obviously the game in Edmonton last night took something out of them. No excuses though as Winnipeg has improved a lot over the teams they fielded in previous years. The first game was quite feisty and was tied 2-2 at the half. Winnipeg went ahead 3-2 and then Calgary tied it up. Just when it looked like they were heading for a tie with just over a minute to go Winnipeg went ahead 4-3. Calgary pulled their goalie for an extra attacker but here again they just were not in sync and it backfired with Winnipeg putting in their 5th goal.
