nolando
was unsuccessful: Cowichan had as many as five starters on the sidelines at any given time, but was pleased to have Tyler Hughes back from a tryout with the Austin Aztex of United States Soccer League’s D2 pro circuit. He missed the Nanaimo game. Hughes felt the experience was worthwhile but didn’t see where he could fit in. “It was a bit strange,’’ he conceded. “They had two players in my position — two central defenders under contract with the team.’’ Hughes will instead be playing for the Victoria Highlanders of the United Soccer League’s Premier Development League after his obligations with Cowichan are done. He was glad to have one more game back with the lads before the Jackson Cup final when LMG Pringle could become the first Cowichan team since the 1932-33 Native Sons to win it. http://www.bclocalnews.com/sports/88954907.html?period=W&mpStartDate=03-17-2010&
