Thanks for pointing that out the BBC article I was reading said only France and now they haved added Italy to it. I did think it was odd that France was the only bidder. ottawaguy2009 Posted March 13, 2009 Share Posted March 13, 2009 Awesome. This is such good news. Yeah we could grab a spot at the WC if they were to expand to 24. That'd be awesome. They probably want to involve more countries = more $ in a recession. Especially if some countries have to back out at the last minute. Although most countries would rather send a football team to the WC than feed their poor I'm sure - even the poor would support such a move. That would be Canada's chance. If CONCACAF was given another spot or two. Awesome. As for Euro expanding that's good too.
