Fingers and toes crossed for Montreal in this upcoming tourney, we should learn quite a bit from it all.

As has been mentioned elsewhere the Impact have an absolutely brutal schedule coming up and adding potentially 8 more matches into the mix is going to be murder. Heartless-bloody-murder. For both the squad and the pitch at Stade Saputo.

The team has held up so-so this year all things considered but the hardest part of the year has yet to come including opponents and travel of the likes Montreal seldom sees. Don't know enough about Montreal to say where they can draw squad depth from but they better find that place quick and hope for no injuries while they're at it.

The wonderful pitch at Stade Saputo is going to be put to the fire should Montreal get into Group C. The grounds keepers have done their job and I'm sure they're learning more each day about pitch maintenance and repair but summer is fading and the grass just won't recover the way it can during the peak growing season. And with potentially a whack of fall dates coming up, wow. Those gardeners are going to have to prove their worth.

And will Montrealers come out for autumn football? With make up dates and a couple of late Group C fixtures (October 21 jumps out) we're getting late into the year as far as USL scheduling goes.
