A team can ask the league to make an exception but as a general rule, they wear these numbers 2) Mark Simpson wore an unusual number during his career as goalkeeper at DC United. What was it? Simpson wore number 2 throughout his career at DC United 3) In 1976 St. Louis Stars keeper Len Bond also wore an unusual uniform number. What was it?
