CanMilFootball Posted February 14, 2007 Share Posted February 14, 2007 The Canadian Forces Men's Soccer team has qualified for the Military World Games (MWG) scheduled for 12-27 Oct 07 in Hyderbad India, by finishing second place at the recent CISM Americas football championship held in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Counsiel International de Sport Militaire (CISM) is the military equivalent of the IOC and hosts a World Games every 4 years. Canada has only qualified once previously for the event in 1995. The team qualified by beating the US 2-1 on a goal by their captain, 2Lt Tom St Onge, at the death of their last qualifying match.
