Jason
I thought I'd throw this idea out for discussion: Are the CSA dragging their heels on hiring a MNT coach because they have already made up their mind? I suspect they want Dale Mitchell, but they don't want to disturb things between now and the 2007 event in Canada. The CSA will plod along, and once that tourney is over, Mitchell is given the job. The only thing that would prevent it would be a Canadian flop during the tournament, but since host clubs always seem to get a good draw and make progress in the knockout rounds, he will probably do okay and be annointed the savior of Canadian soccer. I really don't know if Mitchell would be a good or bad choice, but I think this is the thought process at the CSA. Comments? Jason
Daniel
It's been discussed at length and people seem to be going along with this theory. I'm still waiting for Cruyff, though ...
DoyleG
I think that Mitchell will coach the U23 team for the Olympic qualifiers once the the U20 WYC is over. He's going to be dealing with players that he's worked with over the past several years. Hence his selection would be a natural choice.
