eliahbot
Hey, hows evreyone? Im a student at the University of Western Ontario, and i was planning on doing a paper on why Canada's soccer team isn't at the level it should be. I was wondering if anyone knows where i could find resources on gov't funding for soccer or any other type of resource pertaining to this topic... thanks Rob
ray
Check out this Sport Canada link for government funding of national sport organizations (including CSA) for years 1995-96 to 2002-03: http://www.pch.gc.ca/progs/sc/contributions/index_e.cfm
Guest HamiltonSteelers
I would be interested in your findings when your paper is done. You should be able to get some good resources from some of the Sports Business Journals on a comparison (the US nat'l team vs. Canada over the last 20 years). See if you can get anything out of the marketing and promotions department of the CIBC as to why they decided to sponsor the MNT now.

Doggy
Here is a link to the CSA constitution. Perhaps you can discuss how this flawed document promotes cronyism. http://www.canadasoccer.com/eng/docs/constitution.pdf
