beachesl
Milwaukee 6-Edmonton 2 Looks like Edmonton played down 10 men for the last half hour after Kassaye got ejected. We then tied it up, until we got buried in a 4 goal barrage in the last 10 minutes. Edmonton plays Minnesota at home, last home match, at 6:45 on Monday, then goes off for last two matches, Voyageur Cup ties (and deciders) on Wednesday in Montreal and Thursday in Toronto. Edmonton has to win the last two to win the Voyageurs Cup, otherwise the Impact have it. What is unusual is that Goalkeeper Nick Stankov got substituted at 88' after the 5th Wave goal, by his brother Bob, who let one in at 90'. Don't think Bob has played before for EFC. usl.com report: ------------------------------------------------------ Weather: Sunny, 62 Attendance: 2490 Summary: EDM: Chin (pk) 45 MIL: Todd Dusosky (Fontana) 58 MIL: Torres (pk) 60 EDM: Sibiya (Munoz) 76 MIL: Howes (Fontana) 80 MIL: Howes (Torres) 84 MIL: Howes (Beasley) 87 MIL: Kante (Rosenband) 90 Cautions EDM: Mollaibrahimagaoglu 33, Kassaye 60, 63, Chin 77, Hart 63, Munoz MIL: Hammes 75, Fontana 85 Ejections EDM: Kassaye 63 Referees: Marcel Yanan, Peter Balciunas, Margaret Domka, James Walter Edmonton FC Pos. DJT
quote:Originally posted by beachesl Edmonton has to win the last two to win the Voyageurs Cup, otherwise the Impact have it. Edmonton must defeat Montreal, but then a draw against Toronto would be good enough for them to clinch the title. With no front office anymore, we have no way of contacting the team. Do they know about the Voyageurs Cup? Any chance you guys in Edmonton could chat with them on Monday (or contact them in some other way) and let them know where things stand as they head east? beachesl
strobe_z's unofficial program, "90'", handed out at each game, which we know EFC general manager Joe Petrone reads and the team members read,, always has a story on the Voyageurs Cup and the standings, so the team is clearly aware. In terms of the EFC office, the only office apears to be Petrone's cell phone number. What one of us can do is talk to the PA person to announce that we will win the Voyaguer's Cup if we beat the Impact and tie the Lynx.
