Danish international midfielder Daniel Jensen has completed a move from Spanish side Real Murcia to Werder Bremen, signing a four-year deal with the German champions. Werder said they received confirmation late on Sunday of the deal from Murcia, who finished bottom of Primera Liga last season.

Jensen featured in Denmark's passage to the quarter-finals of Euro 2004 last month.

"We are happy that we now have in our ranks another young player who played a good part in the European Championship in Portugal," Werder's sport director Klaus Allofs said in a statement.

Werder, who have paid an undisclosed fee for the 25-year-old, have already signed Germany striker Miroslav Klose, defender Frank Fahrenhorst and Brazil defender Gustavo Nery from Sao Paolo in the close season.

Jensen's older brother, Claus, already plays in the Bundesliga. He moved to Borussia Dortmund a year ago.
