Jarrek Posted June 30, 2004 Share Posted June 30, 2004 HUGHES TO ATTEND NATIONAL TEAM CAMP Defender, Tyler Hughes, has been invited to attend the Canadian National Team Training Camp from Friday, July 9th to Thursday, July 15th in Vancouver. The camp will feature some of the top young National Team prospects in Canada and is an opportunity for the new Men’s National Team Head Coach, Frank Yallop, to see these players in action. The Canadians will take on Hearts FC of the Scottish Premier League and Millwall FC of the English First Division on July 12th and 14th respectively at Swangard Stadium in Vancouver. If so I remember very clearly playing against him and with him in my youth metro days when he was on The Vancouver Island squad from Victoria. He was always standout, along with a couple others on that powerhouse team. When the BC u17 team was invited to train in front of the national team coaching staff he was the only player invited to a full national youth team session afterward. Pretty good guy too.
