jordan
Fenwick interests Thistle Paul Fenwick has not been in such action this season Partick Thistle have confirmed that they are interested in Hibernian defender Paul Fenwick. But his international commitments with Canada could deter them from signing the 33-year-old. Fenwick is out of favour at Easter Road and could be allowed to leave for Firhill on loan. But Thistle chief executive Alan Dick said: "We would have to check his interntional commitments with Canada to see if it would be worthwhile." Fenwick, previously with Birmingham, Dunfermline, St Mirren and Morton, Fenwick was a Hibs regular until this season. His only four first-team outings this term have been for his country. Thistle, presently at the foot of the table, would want to ensure that he was available for most of their remaining games as they attempt to escape relegation. "The coaches are interested in talking to Paul Fenwick, but we are nowhere close to a deal," said Dick. Dick also dismissed reports that Thistle are interested in Scotland Under-20 forward Bryan Prunty, who has been told he can leave Celtic. Speculation has also linked Aberdeen, Ross County, Queen of the South, Falkirk and St Mirren with the player. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/h/hibernian/3376439.stm
marcl_19
none of us like him, at least the way he plays...but if hes gonna continue to get the call......he might as well get club action. I hope it goes through.
Cheeta
You know, you'd think at this point there wouldn't be any concearn over Fenwick being lost due to National Team commitments. And realy, when you've reached that point in your career where Partick Thistle is looking as a happy alternative to your current situation it may just be time to retire from international play. Retirement from club play of course, can't be far behind.
MikeD
We might as well give Partick the guarantee they want so that Fenwick can try to get his club career back on track. He's no good to the national side when he hasn't played in months for Hibs anyway. Who knows, he could do well enough with Partick to extend his playing career by another couple of years.
