Posted November 13, 2003 Share Posted November 13, 2003 Man Utd has confirmed another US tour, Fergie says he liked the facilities, the way players could walk around without being harassed (ie unrecognized), and the way the team came out after with a good league start. Plus the Howard factor. That same story, out very recently, suggested that maybe Real Madrid would be in the States, and maybe Italian clubs would be back. I have heard here that Barça might go to Asia first, then Mexico, and then maybe into the States at the end of a tour. Barça has an odd problem related to them losing their Dragons US football squad, as the team had a deal going with a few NFL owners in marketing and that is now to be reduced drastically. Obviously, these tours are part of a larger marketing scheme so don't look to see anything in Canada. They will choose larger US markets. Though I would go to see the Gunners play!
