Christian Ziege got another 90 minutes under his belt as our reserves drew 3-3 with Watford in another eventful night at Stevenage Borough.

John Jackson scored twice as the lads came from 2-0 and 3-1 down to grab a point, Jamie O'Hara, just 17, marked his debut with a goal within two minutes of coming on but, the other side of the coin, Helder Postiga limped out of the action after 14 minutes.

Chris Hughton moved quickly afterwards to point out that Postiga's early departure was precationary after feeling a little stiffness at the top of his hamstring.

The first half was most notable for Postiga's early departure, replaced by Mark Yeates until a spell of three goals in an incredible three minutes.

Referee Mr Lewis wasn't too popular as Watford went 2-0 up with goals after 35 and 37 minutes. One controversial free-kick on the half-way line was followed by another just outside the box and to add insult to the apparent injustice, Jack Smith's early take flicked off the wall and left Rob Burch stranded.

Two minutes later and it was 2-0. Again, there were appeals for a free-kick as Ben Herd appeared to foul Paul O'Donoghue on his way to the byline before his cutback was side-footed home by Jason Norville.

We got ourselves back into it within seconds. Stephane Dalmat opened up the Watford defence and Jackson drilled home from the left side of the area.

Ziege's left foot was at it's wand-like best and the most dangerous of three great crosses saw Doherty flick a header a foot wide just before the break.

If the end of the half lifted spirits, Watford soon dampened them again. Only a minute had gone in the second half when Norville's pass found Elliott Godfrey breaking through to lift the ball over Burch and home.

Burch was tested again by Norville and Fisken while O'Donoghue headed a half-chance straight at Pidgeley.

O'Hara entered the fray for Dalmat on the hour and took just two minutes to introduce himself at reserve level - cracking a 20-yarder into the bottom corner.

Barnard looped a header just over as both sides pushed on although chances were few and far between until we equalised with five minutes left.

It was a quick breakaway with O'Hara releasing Barnard down the left and the forward quickly finding Yeates bursting into the box - a run ended by Blizzard's clumsy challenge. Jackson stepped up and crashed the spot kick home, no mistake.

Barnard went close again in the final seconds but a point apiece was just about right.
