marktci
Came across this stupid fluff piece in "Toro" ("Toronto Men's Online Magazine) about the state of soccer in Canada and the CMNT. Admittedly, this isn't a big publication, but it just perpetuates the misconceptions about soccer in Canada and offers no grassroots remedies. http://www.toromagazine.com/sports/egos-and-icons/04184984-80ec-e154-5934-d142cb36a18e/Soccers-Backwaters/index.html Everything that is wrong about the average soccer supporter in Canada is in this article. No mention of the V's. No mention of the upcoming friendlies. This really pisses me off.
mulliganl
Socceronly, introducing the V's using the comments section of this article is a great idea. Has anyone been doing something similar for other online articles that have to do with Canadian soccer? (eg. globe and mail, toronto star, etc.) That could really expand the reach of the group and this forum to interested parties who aren't aware of this outlet for their CSA related frustrations! VPjr
Indirectly, I know the publishers of this magazine. I am going to make contact and try to expose them to the side of Canadian soccer that they appear utterly clueless about
Soju
I wonder if Loew made that comment about Canada after watching Argentina route us?
