tmcmurph Posted March 12, 2010 Author Share Posted March 12, 2010 Well it was one hell of a game but Calgary lose 7-8 to the Cougars. They were up 6-3 with 7 minutes to go but California pulled their goalie for an extra attacker and what an attacker. Santana scored 4 long range bombs to the top corners. With 3 minutes to go Reyes put Calgary up 7-6 on a great run beating 3 California defenders and scoring. With 90 seconds to go Calgary could have scored again but missed. Santana got his 4th and it was going to sudden death overtime. In the extra California kept the extra attacker much to my surprise and Calgary had 3 or 4 good chances at long range lobs but missed. California took the game with their 8th goal. It was the only time in the game where they had the lead. Fantastic game even with the choppy video feed. So ends another indoor season.
