Impact salvage tie with Timbers PORTLAND, Ore. (CP) - Alen Marcina scored in the 86th minute as the Montreal Impact battled to a 1-1 draw with the Portland Timbers in United Soccer League Division one action Thursday. It was Marcina's first goal in the Impact uniform since coming to Montreal June 15. His goal ended a 315-minute scoring drought for the Impact (4-2-5). Neil Dombrowski had given Portland (4-2-3) a 1-0 lead just one minute earlier. Impact defender Mauricio Vincello saved the game in injury time when he cleared a shot that had goal keeper Matt Jordan beaten. The Impact, which lost 1-0 on June 8 against the Timbers at the Claude-Robillard Sports Complex, now holds a 2-3-2 record against their West Coast rivals.
