The Lady Lynx entered the match with a record of 4-0-0, having scored 18 goals while conceding none in their four previous matches. Toronto was led to victory through two goals by Sylvia Forbes, as well as goals by Amanda Chicchini and Deana Everett. Everett also picked up two assists, while Forbes assisted on one of the goals. Vonya Beckles also recorded an assist for Toronto this afternoon. Forbes’ two goals today brings her total to nine, leaving her tied for first with Richmond’s Jennifer Parsons in the W League’s scoring standings. Everett’s goal moves her to a tie for fourth position in the scoring standings. Forbes’ offensive burst moves her to first in the overall points standings, while Everett’s goal and two assists improves her standing in the same category. Today’s victory reasserted Toronto’s position atop the W-League’s Eastern Conference – Northern division, leaving the Lady Lynx with a record of 5-0-0 with 22 goals for and none against.
