Need help locating...

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody need your help finding these players. Some may still be where they are listed but for most it was their last known port of call. If you have some new info can you please post the news and a link.

I have to say this list has shortened considerably. Hope we can get everybody located soon.

Tks

Mods if you can leave this for a few days before combining it with another thread I'd appreciate it (as some people don't look at the MOACA too often).

McLeod is going to Fairfield University, not Syracuse. Babineau played Super Y with Boston this year and is currently with the New Brunswick Canada Games team. Justin Farenik is with the Alta games team too, don't know if he at TWU.

cheers,

matthew

Something around a month ago bounce around that there was a canadian on trail @ Legia Warszawa ( III place last year in the league) Currently playing FC Zurich in the UEFA CUP. I have not heard anything since. If he did end up sticking around its most likley with the reserve team. I'll try to dig up some info on him. As for Mark Drapala. First I have no idea what Togr Szczecin is. The club is called MKS Pogon Szczecin. Also I have not heard anthing of this guys. I can ask my friend who is a Pogon supporter and currently in Europe to see if he has heard anything. Hopefully I have been of little servie :):D

Marko Bedenikovic -CPSL Oakville Blue Devils

Mathew O'Connor -CPSL Hamilton Thunder played last night

Ryan Thompson -CPSL Hamilton Thunder -red card last night

Thanks for that. Navigating the CPSL website and the team websites is an exercise in frustration. Game reports that don't include lineups, team websites that don't have rosters. Drive ya mental.

Just to be clear that Ryan Thompson is the same guy who was in Germany? I thought there was no p in his name.

Ryan Thompson with a 'p' is the same one that was in Germany last year and hoping to return this year.

Even an attempt at CPSL rosters would be helpful but the web pages of many teams are dismally out of date (or non existant).

One of the problems that many teams in the CPSL have with rosters is the revolving door of players using the league as a stopping-off place between European trials. Some teams can have 2 or 3 players gone at any time "chasing the dream".

I just want to get something cleared up and believe me I don't mean to jump on your back. :) I just want things to be accurate.

A while back someone posted that his name was spelled without a p. At the Rot Weiss Essen site (no p) and on the German transfer site (no p)

http://www.transfermarkt.de/ Search for thomson

http://www.rot-weiss-essen.de/aktuell/index.php?sid=pressespiegel&rid=535

Ryan Thomson verlässt Rot-Weiß Essen in Richtung Kanada. Der zu Beginn der vergangenen Spielzeit von Hajduk Split an die Hafenstraße gewechselte Stürmer wird künftig für Hamilton Thunder SC auflaufen.

I think I'm going crazy because I always thought it was Atiba Hutchison. I checked at CSA and it was Hutchinson and also in the Swedish game reports it was Hutchinson. (Although at the Canadians Abroad list at CSA, half of the peoples names were wrong)

I had it as Hutchison on the MOACA until yesterday and nobody noticed. So can someone with definitive knowledge tell me and pull me out of my coma.

Thompson or Thomson

Hutchinson or Hutchison

Tks

Ryan Thompson 100% certain... father Tom lives in Kitchener...played minor soccer in Kitchener, then Southwest United (won U-15 Ontario Cup 1997), then Dixie I think, then off to Scotland, England, back to Hamilton Thunder, then Croatia (Hajduk Split), then Germany in "pursuit of the dream"

Ryan Thompson played against Atiba Hutchinson when Atiba was with Iain Hume at Brampton or Chingacousy in the mid 90's.

There is a Canadian Ryan Thomson that I've seen pop up in different places but but he is not the player that Ryan with a "p" is.

As to Atiba I always thought it was Hutchinson but only with 80% certainty. I'm good with names and that was how he was listed as a youth player.
