Alberto7
I was looking at the standings in the USL First Division and noticed that the top 5 teams are distancing themselves from the rest of the pack. Updated through July 27 GP W L T GF GA Pt Montreal 15 10 0 5 22 7 35 Richmond 18 10 5 3 24 18 33 Rochester 19 10 6 3 30 17 33 Seattle 18 9 3 6 25 15 33 Vancouver 17 8 3 6 28 15 30 Puerto Rico 18 6 8 4 29 31 22 Atlanta 19 6 10 3 26 33 21 Charleston 19 6 10 3 20 28 21 Portland 17 5 7 5 21 31 20 Minnesota 18 4 8 6 25 29 18 Virginia Beach 19 4 10 5 17 29 17 Toronto 19 3 11 5 20 35 14 5 points separate 1st from 5th. After that there is an 8 point drop to 6th place(and the final playoff spot). Somehow I can't see Toronto or Virginia Beach and possibly Minnesota make up the gap so we are left with 4 teams fighting it out for 6th place. My money is on Charleston. They have a young dynamic team who have played much better of late. I will be bold and predict that they will beat the Impact this weekend. Comments? Alberto7
Sorry guys. I took the standings from the TSN website and it is not up to date. Charleston has 7 victories for a total of 24 points, so they are now in 6th place. I still think they will make the playoffs in the long run.
