So Saputo wants to have the 07final in Montreal. Change of plan for the Saputo Stadium? Hes looking at a 21000capacity most of them are temporary bleachers... Funny Eh? The party which spends the most, should have the honour of hosting the final match. How bleak would 2007 look without the generous Saputo contribution. The Saputo family were under no obligation to build anything, yet the timing of their decision shows a commitment greater than the rest of the Canadian soccer community combined. There is a 58 thousand seat stadium in Montreal with no tenant. It's hosted a major soccer final drawing 72,000 thousand people. Put in grass. And bang. But we all want to get hard about a 15 million 12,000 seat stadium with 18,000 temporary steel bleachers that isn't built and from the plans looks like the pitch is so small that FIFA might actually only sanction it for 8 a side games.
