Guest Ed
Nik Ledgerwood came on in the 64th minute today replacing a starting striker as 1860 Muenchen amateurs fell 1-0 to SV Wehen on a 90th minute goal in the Regional League South. Tomorrow, the northern derby sees the resurgent Hamburger SV visit Weser Stadium to play Paul Stalteri and Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga 1. Bremen blew away Hamburg 6-0 last season but have a rash of injuries and Hamburger SV have 2 wins under their new manager. Also tomorrow, Julian de Guzman and Hannover 96 go for 5 wins in a row as they host VfL Bochum. Sunday sees Tam Nsaliwa and 1.FC Saarbruecken hosting RW Essen in the Bundesliga 2. Ryan Thomson may get a chance to try to score against the tough Saarland defence anchored by Tam. Also in action today, Victor Oppong and SV Waldhof Mannheim lost 3-2 to SV Sandhausen in the Oberliga Baden-Wuerttemburg.
Guest Ed
Another huge win for Hannover 96 today, 3-0 over VfL Bochum, puts them in 4th place with 20 points, ahead of Bayern Munich (on goal difference) and Werder Bremen (19 points). Julian de Guzman set up the 3rd goal and now his team get ready for a showdown in Munich next Saturday against FC Hollywood. Werder Bremen had a tough game against norther rivals Hamburger SV and could only manage a 1-1 draw, dropping them to 6th place in the table, behind Bayern Munich who lost 2-0 to Borussia Moenchengladbach today. Grizzly
Stalteri has started against Anderlecht in Champions League play. WB leads 3-1 near the end of the 1st half. In last weekends league game he received a good Kicker rating of 3 playing on his wrong side at left back. Davala whose return from injury has led to Stalteri being moved around did not get a good rating from Kicker and has not started today. Stalteri is listed at the back in todays game and may possibly have won back his preffered side although the Kicker ticker does not list what side he is playing on. Kicker also gave DeGuzman (left defensive mid) and Nsaliwa (right central mid) a 3 rating in their games. Saarbruecken lost 2-0 to Essen and Nsaliwa was the only defender given a good rating by Kicker.

Grizzly
Bremen wins 5-1 and Stalteri plays 90 minutes. Davala subbed on midway through the second half for the defender on the other side so his removal from the lineup was due to his play not injury.
