snake Posted July 12, 2004 Author Share Posted July 12, 2004 the big news out of yallop was that he is very confident that kerfoot will build the new prospective sss very soon.he has seen the plans and is very exited.he said that he would make the stadium home base for the canadian national team,his exact words were "we want to make the stadium our fortress".he also said he is expecting between 7000-9000 fans on aug 18th. Vancouver Fan Posted July 12, 2004 Share Posted July 12, 2004 Good for CKNW to get that interview.Nothing too earth shattering in Yallops comments.He did seem concerned about the shape of the pitch at Swangard when he was asked about future WCQ games there.I remember when that grass was in a lot better condition. He also mentioned that he was very confident about Vancouver getting a new stadium and holding more games here.He said that he saw preliminary plans and is excited about one day holding games in a fortress like facility.
