Vancouver Fan Posted May 24, 2003 Share Posted May 24, 2003 Based on last nights game Steve Kindel should have been the Whitecaps player chosen for the National team.Kindels 2cd goal came from about 30 yds out as the midfielder picked up his team leading 3rd goal of the sesason.The half volley was deposited into the back of the net after Seattle cleared a Caps corner.If Canada was'nt so deep in the midfield position Kindel might well have got a look.Jason Jordan was average in this game but continually makes things difficult for any defender.Even if JJ doesn't get scoring chances the pressure he puts on the oppositions backline will create chances for the rest of the team. The Seattle goals came from a poor decision from back up keeper Alex Marques to come off his line and was deked by Callahan.Mike Franks was in street clothes.He must of sustained a leg injury in training.The 2cd.Seattle goal came off a corner kick as a poorly marked Tomlinson headed in. Good crowd of about 4400 on a warm night in Burnaby were in attendance.The Southsiders were at there best and is encouraging to see the numbers grow as the first 3 games were a bit lacklustre.The good intensity against a tough rival helped with the overall atmosphere at Swangard.
