Karina LeBlanc recorded yet another shutout on the weekend as LA Sol defeated Washington Freedom 1-0. LeBlanc has had an astounding record of 11 shutouts in 15 games. Canadian teammate Erin McLeod was in goal for Washington and held a clean sheet until the 91st minute when Marta scored the winner. LA are way ahead in the standings now with almost twice as many points as second-place St Louis.

Christine Sinclair and FC Gold Pride lost 1-0 to Saint Louis Athletica. Sinclair played the full 90 minutes. Melissa Tancredi started and played 68 minutes for Saint Louis.

On July 4th Kelly Parker's Sky Blue FC defeated Boston Breakers 1-0. Parker started and played 58 minutes. Christine Latham started and played 79 minutes for Boston.

Checking the WPS league stats we find LeBlanc way ahead in clean sheets and goals-agains average. Sinclair is currently third in the league in goals, shots and shots on goal.

In Europe, Rhian Wilkinson scored the only goal as Team Strommen defeated Amazon Grimstad 1-0. "Team Strommen's forwards were not having a good day in taking their scoring chances, so Rhian Wilkinson stepped up to score and to win the game in the 92nd minute of play."
