analyst
BC was awarded the right to host the Over35's this year. Officials at BCSoccer were in separate discussions with two different groups to be the local host, 1) Surrey which was going to have it at Newton Park, and 2) Firemen which wanted to host in Burnaby with the Firemen's complex for social events. Both aplicants were told they were successful and then the BCSA officials compared notes and realized they made a major mistake. Both Surrey and Firemen asked BCSA to choose, but BCSA was unable to do so, so now neither group is involved. Both groups are angry with the BCSA, and the event will probably run into problems.
