marktci
From the Scotsman: http://sport.scotsman.com/index.cfm?id=10072005 Foulkes insists it's not all doom and gloom at Hearts GRAHAM BEAN GEORGE Foulkes moved to assure Hearts fans yesterday that the club’s future is not as bleak as is being painted, and attempted to dispel the notion that their transfer budget is in disarray. The imminent departure of Mark de Vries and Alan Maybury to Leicester City coupled with Hearts’ failure to land Stevie Crawford led to what head coach John Robertson has described as an air of "doom and gloom" descending on the club. "There has been a lot of doom and gloom around the club but we have offered a contract to Steven Pressley which he seems quite happy with, which is good news," said Robertson. (Paragraphs deleted) While Pressley looks set to sign, the future of a number of key players remains unresolved and one, Phil Stamp, admitted yesterday: "If some clubs come in for me then I would have to listen to what they had to say." The others free to negotiate with other teams include Patrick Kisnorbo, Ramon Pereira, Kevin McKenna, Neil MacFarlane Michael Stewart, Joe Hammil, Robert Sloan and Stephen Simmons.
