Guest Jeffery S.
Just thought since noone posts on them here (maybe over on Network 54?) it'd be worth a thread. There are doing well this year, after last night's come from behind 5-4 win over Des Moines they are tied for third in their division. I think they struggled in terms of results in their past seasons. Reporting 430 in attendance, pretty well in line with previous years or a bit better. Good to see. Anyone know of players, prospects on this side? Should A-League teams be scouting them a bit more?
Guest Jeffery S.
quote:Originally posted by Sigma Good win over Des Moines, but the Menace are not as strong as they have been in previous years. Thunder Bay has been doing well at home over the past few years, and they are finally starting to get the odd road win. I believe the Fort William Stadium also went under some renovation during the off season... All the games listed as home are saying played at Chapples Park, but oddly the web www.thunderbaychill.com says tonight's game is to be played at Fort William. Is this a slip or is the stadium finally ready again? Getting over 400 at a minor sports complex is pretty decent, kind of crowd that watches Welsh 1st division. Guest Jeffery S.
Thunder Bay beat the Menace 2-1 in T-Bay last night and go into third spot in the Heartland Division all alone. Next up are back to back home games vs the Fire Reserves. Reporting close to 600 spectators for the game, good show Chill.
