argh1
For no-other reason than being the fifty (ah hem ) year old son of a man who couldn't forget he was from Hollywood , Co. Down. I will fill all who don't give an eff about Irish soccer with news. Inter-Toto Cup : Ballymena United (N.I) tied Danish side Odense BK 0-0 away Cork (Republic) beat Swedish side Malmo 3-1 2nd legs June 26-27 Champions League : Linfield (N.I) draw HJK Helsinki(Finland) away July 14 Shelbourne (Republic) draw KR Reykjavik (Iceland) away July 14 2nd legs July 21 Uefa Cup : Draw to take place to-day noon I think Atlantic time. Both Republic teams ,Bohemian FC & Longford Town FC are seeded . While both Northern Ireland teams , Portadown FC & Glentoran FC are unseeded. So we may see some all Ireland games. Desigol
Hard Cheese Ballymena. The NI clubs tend to get a batteling draw away from home and get stuffed at home, mainly because the opposition suit Counter-attacking Football better.
Polish_LYNX_Fan
Well I dont know how strong CORK is but last year in the UEFA CUP Wisla Krakow played NEC NIJMEGEN and we beat them 2-0 in both legs if I'm not mistaken. They got a pretty solid team and are, they made some signings as well and are looking at more ( they mite have made them already) They signed a polish NT striker Andzej Niedzielan (formerly of GROCLIN GRODZISK WLKP) the side that knocked off Man City and Hertha Berlin. When he came to the DUTCH league the NEC supporters loved him he scored some big goals for them, then he got injured, dont know if he is still on the IR. If he plays CORK has to watch out for him, he is a speedy attacker and can burn a team for 2-3 goals if not carefull. Hopefully this helps. Thats just my 2 cents.
