Why Sportsnet didn't air the Gold Cup Final

Here is the e-mail explanation I received from Rogers Sportsnet as to why they did not air the Gold Cup final Sunday night:

Sportsnet would like to apologize for not airing the Final of the 2003 Gold

Cup. Unfortunately the feed from Mexico was not compatible with ours and

would not allow us to get the game on air. After a lot of thought and

insight from all over Sportsnet the decision was made to drop the coverage.

We sincerely apologize and hope that you can continue to enjoy Rogers

Sportsnet.
