Srdjan Djekanovic Update

Under 20 keeper Srdjan Djekanovic has confirmed that he is indeed on the first team of Serbia top flight side Radnicki Obrenovac. Signed on a short contract in the winter, he has been on the bench for their league games, and is out of contract in June. In any case the level is very good, the team is fighting to avoid relegation and is just above the spots that drop. One slip by the starter and he is playing.

I am not sure if he will be offered a renewal, could hinge on their staying in the top division.

Srdjan has been called regularly to U-20 camps and has played a few matches for Canada. He is originally from Vancouver.

Right now neither he, Thunder nor Rayner are getting playing time, while Karim would be playing if it weren't for the ridiculously short season in NCAA. Sure hope one of them can break out and get some minutes in before the WYC comes along.
