USL is kicking off their season next week. 29 clubs will participate in the season. The following are some discussion points that I think will be interesting to follow over the course of the year. - Will Whitecaps FC 2 actually follow sanctioning requirements this year, starting 6 Canadians every match? - Do any Canadians currently signed to a USL contract sign an MLS contract before the season's end? Someone like, Uccello, Levis or Riggi perhaps? - How do the Canadians on American USL clubs fare? Will be interesting to see how Laryea, Ewart, Pasher, Cox, Grant, and Murrell do

... about the new MLS franchise and their beginning of the season. Plus another home opener is happening before the IMFC-ORL game, the historical first game in the USL fo FC Montréal. The team coached by Phillippe Eullaffroy (also director of the academy) will make their season debut against 401 Derby rivals Toronto FC 2, or if you prefer, Torontwo FC this Saturday at 12:30 pm at the Big O! If you have a ticket for the MLS game, it is good for the USL game ! Kevin had the chance to talked to Jems Geffrard (defender for FCMTL) and Phillippe Eullaffroy after their last preseason game last week!

Duane and Kevin also talked about the philosophy of the new USL teams regarding their different approaches towards their roster. Plus, Phillipe Eullaffroy, FC Montreal Head Coach and Director of the Montreal Impact Academy after the 1-0 loss in their last preseason game against the Ottawa Fury. Until next time, have a great USL! USLSoccerRadio@gmail.com @USLRdio @24thminute @KevLaramee USLSoccerRadio@gmail.com- 3 comments

As soon as the game started, basically 20 seconds in, the Fury scored with a great Wiedeman finish off a Oliver cross coming from the left side of the box. Montreal definitely got caught off guard by this designed play of Ottawa and were already trailing without even touching the ball yet. The team coached by Marc Dos Santos had a small fitness advantage, being in their fifth week of training camp, but had a big size advantage against the very young FC Montreal team composed entirely of academy products and players around 20 years old or younger! Even if Phillipe Eullaffroy(FC Montreal's Head
